[Actually, 'what's up?' and 'calendar' pages are where the action is]

Welcome to School of Experiments!

SoX (pronounces ‘socks’) or the school of Experiments is about experiencing and sharing; the new, the interesting, the unheard of, and the exciting things happening all around us. It is about opening ourselves to the limitless possibilities, and opportunities life offers.

That’s about it. It is much less than what most people write on their homepages, but I guess, that’s it.

….and as an experiment, I am going to showcase right on the homepage something our team dearly loves. It is a poem, written between 1871 and 1940, as the poet who wrote it, William H. Davies, lived between these years. Here goes: (between you and me, if you think you can do better than Willy, send us your poem and we will consider it for our homepage, hoo haa!)

Leisure

by

William H. Davies

What is this life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.

No time to stand beneath the boughs
And stare as long as sheep or cows.

No time to see, when woods we pass,
Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.

No time to see, in broad daylight,
Streams full of stars, like skies at night.

No time to turn at beauty’s glance,
And watch her feet, how they can dance.

No time to wait till her mouth can
Enrich that smile her eyes began.

A poor life this is if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.
